Port Jefferson Rotary Meeting Bulletin
This week’s Port Jefferson Rotary meeting was both informative and inspiring as we welcomed guest speaker Pat Barry, Fundraising Director of Camp Paquatuck. Pat shared the incredible mission of the camp, which provides a unique and enriching experience for children and young adults with special needs, ages 6 to 21. Located right here on Long Island, Camp Paquatuck offers a safe, inclusive, and fun environment where campers can enjoy summer adventures while building confidence, independence, and lasting friendships. Pat also highlighted the camp’s ongoing fundraising efforts that help keep this vital resource available to families across our community.
In addition to our speaker, we celebrated some wonderful news from within our Rotary family. Two of our dedicated members, Cindy Tischer and Eric Cherches, will be honored at the upcoming Northwell Fall Gala, each receiving the prestigious Theodore Roosevelt Award. This recognition highlights their outstanding commitment to service and leadership, both in Rotary and throughout the community. Join us as we celebrate at East Wind Long Island on Friday October 24th from 6pm - 10pm. Theme for the event is, A Night in Vegas!
It was a meeting filled with pride, purpose, and a reminder of the impact Rotary and our partners make every day.
