A Message from the President
Dear Fellow Rotarians,
Happy Friday!
As we settle into October, I hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful fall season! It's hard to believe how quickly our Rotary year is moving along.
October is Rotary's Economic and Community Development Month, a wonderful reminder that the work we do, the partnerships we build, and the kindness we share have a lasting impact on our community.
Our club continues to demonstrate that Rotary is about more than meetings and fundraisers. It's about friendship, compassion, and showing up for those who need us most.
💙 Meeting Recap – October 6th
A Meaningful Visit with Three Village Meals on Wheels
Our October 6th meeting at Café Spiga was a beautiful reminder of why we are Rotarians.
We were proud to present Three Village Meals on Wheels with a $1,000 donation in support of the incredible work they do for members of our community.
We also had the pleasure of hearing from Claudia, a board member of Three Village Meals on Wheels, who shared insight into the organization's mission and the meaningful relationships they build with those they serve.
While providing nutritious meals is at the heart of their mission, Claudia reminded us that their service goes far beyond delivering food.
For many of their clients, who have little or no family nearby, the volunteers who arrive at their doors are more than meal delivery drivers. They are a familiar face, a friendly conversation, and sometimes the only personal interaction these individuals have throughout their day.
Sometimes the most important thing we deliver isn't a meal — it's the reassurance that someone cares.
Thank you to Claudia for sharing such a heartfelt message and to our fellow Rotarians for making this donation possible. It's partnerships like these that truly embody Service Above Self.

🤝 Club Happenings & Looking Ahead
Community Service: We continue to seek opportunities for hands-on service and partnerships with local organizations. Have an idea for a project? We'd love to hear it!
Membership & Fellowship: One of the greatest gifts of Rotary is the friendships we build. Consider inviting a friend, colleague, or neighbor to experience what our club is all about.
Staying Connected: Our flexible meeting schedule offers a variety of opportunities to participate, from traditional lunch meetings to Zoom gatherings and evening fellowship. We encourage everyone to stay involved in whatever way works best.
🌟 A Final Thought
At our last meeting, Claudia's message about the clients served by Meals on Wheels really resonated with me.
It's easy to measure our impact in dollars donated, meals delivered, or projects completed. But sometimes our greatest impact is found in something much simpler — a conversation, a smile, or taking a few minutes to let someone know they haven't been forgotten.
That's the Rotary I love, and that's the Rotary I hope we continue to build together.
Thank you for your generosity, your friendship, and your commitment to making a difference.
I look forward to seeing everyone soon, and don't forget to RSVP to Nancy for November 5th!
Yours in Rotary,
Jennifer Dzvonar
